FULL HOUSE MEMORIES
Join us on a trip back in time to Mary-Kate and Ashleys early days and their adventures with co-star John Stamos
During the course of its network run, Full House not only brought families together in front of television sets across the country, but it also turned the shows cast into something of a family of their own. One of the people who felt this the strongest was John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse. In particular, Stamos truly felt like an uncle of sorts to Mary-Kate and Ashley. As one unnamed friend told The Star at the time, John simply adores Mary-Kate and Ashley. He always finds time to be with them. And they love him just as much, if not more. If things get too boring on the set, hell take them by the hand and lead them on an adventure around the studio. The photos on this page, taken in 1991, show just how close John and Mary-Kate and Ashley were. Enjoy!
Top to bottom this column, Mary-Kate and Ashley, though only five years old, show quite a range of emotions as they go from confrontation to cheek-pinching joy on the Full House set.
Describing how they worked as youngsters, Ashley says, It was almost like Follow The Leader or Simon Says. The woman who used to be our teacher would say, Walk in the room and say, You got it, dude. We would copy everything she said to do. Then they would cut out her voice in post-production.
These photos clearly show what a great relationship John Stamos and the Olsen twins had on Full House. Scenes featuring food were a favorite of both Mary-Kate and Ashley.
